1. Q. Do we need a user name and password to register our students for State Conference and the Food Events?
  A.

YES – your username and password is the same as last year and you should have received them in an email from Register My Chapter website – If you don’t have them -  Contact Miriam Chavies at chaviesm@gmail.com immediately. Registration Websites: www.registermychapter.com/fccla/co (State Conference) and  www.registermychapter.com/fccla/co-foods (Food Events Competition)


2. Q. Do we have to submit payment on February 18th with our registration?
  A. NO – Payment Deadline is Friday March 4.

3. Q. Do we register for the hotel directly through the Marriott website, or do we do something different to get the $99 rate?
  A.

Make lodging reservations by completing the Rooming List (from the Call to Conference http://www.fccla.cccs.edu/conferenceDocs/2011CalltoConference.pdf -pages 17-18) and mailing or faxing it to the hotel by Tuesday, March 1, 2011. Reservations must be guaranteed by payment or credit card. Higher room rates may be charged after this date. You should receive a confirmation (by email) within two weeks after March 1. Conference lodging is a flat rate of $99 per room per night (single, double, triple, or quad) plus tax. If school funding is used, the hotel needs a completed Tax Exemption Form (Call to Conference - page 15) at time of payment. Hotel Check‐in: Thursday, April 7, 2011 – starting at 3 pm   Hotel Check‐out: Saturday, April 9, 2011 by noon


4. Q. I can’t find Hospitality, Tourism, and Travel.  Where is it on the registration site?
  A. Due to lack of participants for the last couple of years, and because the event was in transition at the National Level (changing from Hospitality to Hospitality, Tourism and Recreation) the STAR/Events Committee decided this past summer not to offer that event or the Early Childhood Event at State Conference this year.

5. Q. How much are State and National dues?
  A. National Dues is $9 per person + state dues $6 per person = $15 per member and adviser, plus each chapter has a once a year $10 chapter fee.

6. Q. Is the hotel room charge of $99 per night or for both nights?
  A. The rooms are $99 per night and participants must stay both Thursday and Friday nights. You may have up to 4 students per room.

7. Q. Why do we need to be sure and include the name of our District when we register?
  A. During opening session the number of attendees is announced by district and including your District Name when registering insures accurate numbers.

8. Q. What is the deadline for submitting pictures of our Canned Food Drive Sculptures?
  A. Sculptures should relate to the theme of “Technology” and photos should be sent by February 11 (end of FCCLA Week) to patti.krattenmaker@cccs.edu  Include the number of cans, and food drive activities photos will be put on the website.

9. Q. How many members are in the largest chapter in the state?
  A. Congratulations - Warren Tech with 86 members!

10. Q. Do advisers that participate at State Conference and the Food Events have to pay the $75 registration fee on both registrations?
  A. YES – the registration fees cover the costs associated with each Conference. For example State Conference registration fees cover such things as - keynote speaker, breakfast and lunch for the judges, banquet, dance, medals, etc. While the $75 Food Events registration covers – breakfast and lunch for all participants and judges, contest ingredients, workshop ingredients, presenter fees, medals, etc.
