Platte Valley FCCLA Feed the Children

February 2009- Platte Valley FCCLA reaises $200 for Feed the Children from their bake sale and 3-point shooting contest.

Broomfield Days

September 2008- Worked in collaboration with EcoCycle in educating people about recycling including: Manned recycling locations at the event; Made and handed out pamphlets on recycling; Had a recycling craft booth for children "Trash to Treasures" involving planning items to make from trash, collecting items, setting up a booth and helping children with the crafts.

8th Grade Career Expo

November 2008 - Acted as hosts for Adams County 8th Graders; monitoring the flow of traffic, addressing concerns, monitoring behaviors, and more, among the more than 3,000 middle schoolers.

Blankets for the Homeless

Procured donations from stores and individuals for funds to purchase fleece fabrics from which 20 fringe-tied fleece balnkets were made. The blankets were then donated to Goals for distribution to the homeless in the Bollman TEC district.
