About FEFE
Family Economics & Financial Education's (FEFE) mission is to provide educators with no-cost curriculum materials, and the skills and confidence to effectively teach family economics and finance. This is accomplished through an annual grant from Take Charge America Inc, a non-profit debt counseling and management service located in Phoenix, AZ. The project began in 2001 using teacher input to design a quality, ready-to-teach family economics and finance curriculum and training program.
Since the project's inception, it has operated under five principles that make it unique and effective:
Curriculum Development Updates
The Financial Institutions Unit 7.0 has been updated and will be available soon:
- Online Banking lesson plan 1.7.6 has been created with information about online banking and will be available soon.
- Electronic Banking lesson plan 1.7.2 has updated content about the Federal Reserve Board and now includes a note taking guide and an activity conducting community interviews.
- Financial Institutions lesson plan 1.7.3 is now called Depository Institutions and has new content about depository institutions as well as a new activity conduction web research.
