One FCCLA scholarship is available on a yearly basis to junior-level students enrolled in the College of Applied Human Sciences at Colorado State University studying to become Consumer and Family Studies teachers. Students must have been active members of their high school FCCLA organization. The scholarship ranges from $500-$1000. There are also a large selection of other scholarships available to individuals choosing Consumer and Family Studies or other College of Applied Human Sciences departments for a major.
Deadline for all entries is February 15th.
The Nelva Caton Memorial Scholarship was established this year to remember a great FCCLA adviser and Family and Consumer Sciences teacher. Mrs. Caton made a commitment 54 years ago to teach, to touch the lives of students and to make a difference. She intentionally lived by the FCCLA Creed.
The Scholarship to be awarded at the 2008 State Conference is for $250. Contributions are being accepted to increase the scholarship amount in the following years. Completed Scholarship applications must be postmarked by February 15. Application Directions and Form
Colorado FCCLA is pleased to offer two scholarships to members. The scholarships are awarded at the Annual State Leadership Conference Banquet. Each Scholarship is for $1,000. One scholarship is presented to the Promise Award Winner and one to the Leadership Scholarship Award Winner.
The intent of the Promise Award is to honor a Colorado FCCLA member from grades 9-12 who has shown promising potential in supporting the mission of FCCLA. The winner of this award should be a member who has led her or his chapter, community and or district and state with her or his commitment and inspiration over the past year or years. will be awarded to an outstanding senior who has been an officer at any level of the Colorado FCCLA organization. Sing the Praises of your chapter’s community service work. For the 2007-08 school year, one $500 grant is available to a chapter for their Community Service efforts. This grant is offered by Youth Reach, a community service opportunities nonprofit organization, which helps connect schools, churches, youth and businesses to outreach organizations. The process is designed to give equal opportunity to all sizes of chapters and every chapter is encouraged to submit an entry. Entry due by February 15, 2008.

Two grand-prize winners of this year's culinary competition in the junior/senior division will each receive full-tuition scholarships. Each first runner-up will be awarded a $7,500 renewable tuition scholarship; each second runner-up a $5,000 renewable tuition scholarship. All other finalists will receive $3,500 renewable tuition scholarships. Additional prizes will be awarded overall and in the freshmen and sophomore high school student competition.
