  1. Extend your career social network. The Executive Council recommends using the National Program, Career Connections, to plan an internship or volunteer job opportunity.
  2. Update your goal setting status. The Executive Council recommends that the planning process be used to accomplish these STAR Events – National Programs in Action, Chapter Service Project, Job Interview, or Career Investigation.
  3. Download a brighter future. The Executive Council recommends that members attend the Youth Expo at state conference or plan for the future by using www.collegeincolorado.org.
  4. Find a balance between social networking and personal interaction. The Executive Council recommends limiting use of technology at home and at work and increasing face to face interaction with family and fellow employees.

Network to Harmony

  1. Connect Colorado with Canned Goods.  The Executive Council recommends each FCCLA district contribute at least 200 cans of food to local food banks and conducts spare change drives for Children’s Miracle Network.
  2. Make positive connections using technology.  The Executive Council recommends that chapters develop projects that increase the awareness of netiquette or encourages students to use appropriate technology to stay connected.
  3. Create PowerLinks.  The Executive Council recommends that chapters make connections with other chapters to share powerful ideas.
  4. Explore universal unity.  The Executive Council recommends that a FACS class makes a connection with students in an international educational FACS-related course (ex. Future Homemakers of Japan.)
  5. Identify your Fav Five.  The Executive Council recommends that chapters strive to recruit at least five new members.

Reboot Your Respect and Responsibility

  1. The Executive Council recommends that chapters find the technology to reboot respect and responsibility in the eleven National FCCLA Programs.  Examples include the following ideas:
    1.  FACTS National Program – “Don’t tempt F8, that text can W8.”  The Executive Council recommends that chapters develop projects to stop texting while driving.
    2. Student Body National Program – “Sprint Together for Fitness.”  The Executive Council recommends that members log off the computer, turn off the TV, and grab some tunes and get active.
    3. Families First National Program – “Join Our Family Plan.”  The Executive Council recommends that members limit the use of technology and incorporate family time into everyday life.
    4. STOP the Violence National Program – “Esc Digital Disrespect.”  The Executive Council recommends that members delete the virus of digital disrespect (cyberbullying) and get involved in STOP the Violence.
